Alex Moreau Chassagne Montrachet VV 2021
“A more complex if moderately similar nose offers more in the way of white orchard fruit aromas that are trimmed in subtle wood nuances. There is fine mid-palate density to the delicious and appealingly intense medium-bodied flavors that are shaped by bright acidity on the bitter lemon-inflected finale that displays excellent length for its level. This too could use better depth, but more should reasonably develop. Lovely. OUTSTANDING” 89-91 points – Allen Meadows, burghound.com - Jan 2023
“Clean mid lemon, assembled on its fine lees but not yet fined. A clean, even and balanced chardonnay nose which develops a richer white fruit with a greengage edge further back on the palate. Some salinity helps provide the tension. Drink from 2024-2028.” 89-91 points – Jasper Morris insideburgundy.com Oct 2022
